High speed cameras are used to create slo-motion effects. While our Phantom camera is capable of 1,400,000 frames per second and we shot our HIGH SPEED project at about 19,700 frames per second, this project was shot at around 1,100 frames per second.
High speed / slo-motion footage can accurately demonstrate a client's product and its distinct advantages and safety factors. Specific slo-mo footage can be seen throughout below or at 5:17. This technique can be most effective for marketing, special promotions, training, and point of sale displays. This is just one more capability of PS/A, and while it takes planning and specialized equipment and personnel, its results can be an added bonus to our clients.
For this client, we had the opportunity to create the full video but also to create a special shorter version that was used in a special venue at the SEMICON high tech conference in San Francisco. When we look at a project and its various elements, we consider all the uses that the material would fit and make the most use for the money spent. For DVDs, large screen, the web, industry shows, showrooms and training sessions, there's no more impressive footage than many products in slow motion.
Use high speed, slow-motion and time lapse for:
- Showing buildings and developments being built
- High tech weaponry
- Time lapse views of construction, or manufacturing
- Interior mechanical parts and processes
- General industry reports
- Use in conjunction with live video for special effects
- Advertising/Point of Sale for a different perspective on your products. Nothing can be more eye appealing and attention getting in the isle of a store.
This show was developed to show the safety factors associated with an innovative new storage system for volatile liquids.
